ICAI Releases Full Schedule for September 2025 CA Examinations

Anyone following the Chartered Accountancy path knows the tension that comes with waiting for ICAI’s exam dates. For September 2025, there’s finally some clarity. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India dropped the official timetable covering all stages of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) process—Final, Intermediate, and Foundation. They’ve planned it to help the thousands of students scattered across hundreds of centers in the country and abroad, especially with the group-wise scheduling that has become a norm.

The ICAI has staggered the Final course exams across two groups. For those sitting for Group I, the critical dates to block out are September 3rd, 6th, and 8th, 2025. Group II immediately follows with its own set—September 10th, 12th, and 14th. Intermediate students will find their Group I tests one day behind the Finals, on September 4th, 7th, and 9th, and Group II’s turn comes on September 11th, 13th, and 15th.

Foundation course aspirants have a unique schedule. Their exams fall on September 16th, 19th, 20th, and 22nd, 2025. There’s a bigger story here—this attempt is the last chance for students enrolled under the old syllabus. After this round, only the new syllabus pattern will be in place, so there’s clearly a bit of added pressure on those still tied to the older curriculum.

Guidelines, Requirements, and Extra Prep for Candidates

The rules and protocol come straight from Regulation 22 under the Chartered Accountants Regulations of 1988. Candidates can only submit applications through ICAI’s online portal, which means everyone has to double-check eligibility requirements and make sure their designated exam center is listed and correct. There’s no room for error—once you lock in these choices, changes tend to be discouraged or outright denied.

What about prepping for these tough exams? ICAI isn’t leaving students hanging. Alongside the main timetable announcement, they flagged earlier that mock test papers and preparatory sessions are on the way. For those tackling either the May 2025 or this all-important September session, expect Series I and II practice runs kicking off in March and April 2025. These targeted mocks are aimed at plugging knowledge gaps and giving everyone a feel for the actual test situation, making it far easier to identify weak points early.

If you’re hunting for detailed date sheets, exam center lists, or eligibility checklists, you’ll need to visit the ICAI’s official website. They’ve promised regular updates, especially for those switching over to the new syllabus or needing clarification on grouped papers and subject splits. With the countdown underway, most candidates are already planning their study marathons, knowing exactly what’s at stake in this packed September schedule.
